It Is Big & It Is Clever: Book 1 of A Punk Rock Hostile Takeover

It Is Big & It Is Clever: Book 1 of A Punk Rock Hostile Takeover

Published by Close To The Bone Publishing.

150 poems selected from the 2016 to 2017 'Writing Sessions', ranging from dark & twisted pieces over to hardcore (in-your-face) lowlife ranting. Not for the fainthearted or limp-wristed. This book of free verse has teeth, and goes straight for the throat with each & every chance it gets. If you’re easily offended, stay away from this book… it’s both for & from ‘The Streets’. You have been Warned!

The Dark Side of British Poetry: Book 1 of Urban, Cinematic, Degeneration

The Dark Side of British Poetry: Book 1 of Urban, Cinematic, Degeneration.

Published by Close To The Bone Publishing.

A hundred and fifty poems from the wrong side of the tracks, the rat-mazed council estates, the soulless/derelict places that people call home and yearn to leave not return to, and the rain splashed, oftentimes violent and menacing streets and gutters of Great Britain.
The stark ‘Truth’ spoken in a poetic way, with no bones about it, and absolutely no punches pulled.

Crazy Like Emotion

The novel Crazy Like Emotion published by Close To The Bone Publishing is now available.

A few months in the life of a struggling writer… exploring the underbelly of society.

Along the way are trips to a psychiatric ward, police stations and prison, manically interwoven with poetry readings, punk gigs, an Art Exhibition and a short time working cash in hand delivering washing machines and fridge-freezers. The story follows his journey and descent into delusional episodes, culminating in literal madness. The tragedy is countered by humour, and the colourful raggle-taggle bunch of outcasts and misfits he meets along the way add charm and character throughout.
